Project Overview

The Next Step Australia is a volunteer-led, registered not-for-profit charity supporting men experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress and suicidal challenges. The organisation provides financial assistance, community education, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), peer support, awareness events and post-suicide assistance for families.

So Cloudy developed and supports an integrated digital platform consisting of the main charity website and a dedicated community fundraising portal. The main website provides information about the organisation, mental health support pathways, training, events, merchandise, subscriptions, sponsors and opportunities to get involved.

The connected charity portal allows community members to register, create fundraising campaigns and accept online donations on behalf of The Next Step Australia. Together, the two websites provide a complete platform for education, support, fundraising, e-commerce and community participation.

Key Features & Custom Functionalities

The platform combines charity information, community support, e-commerce, events and user-managed fundraising into one connected digital experience.

  • Community Fundraising Portal: Supporters can register and create their own fundraising campaigns for The Next Step Australia.
  • Campaign Management: Fundraisers can manage their campaigns, set fundraising goals, add campaign descriptions and publish progress updates.
  • Online Donation System: Secure credit-card donation forms support suggested or custom donation amounts.
  • Campaign Progress Tracking: Campaign pages display the amount raised, percentage completed, fundraising goal, donor count and campaign deadline.
  • Donor Leaderboards: Campaigns recognise top contributors with Gold, Silver and Bronze supporter rankings, followed by a complete donor list.
  • Donor Comments and Referral Tracking: Supporters can leave messages with their donations and enter referral codes to identify who referred them.
  • User Accounts and Dashboards: Registration, login, profile management, donor dashboard, donation receipts, campaign submission and “My Campaigns” functionality are included.
  • Recurring Donations and Subscriptions: Supporters can make ongoing monthly contributions to the organisation.
